Marvel at the Beauty of Nature at Garfield Park Conservatory

July 30, 2021

Looking for a new spot to explore close to home? Grab reservations to visit Garfield Park Conservatory this weekend. This lush oasis near your apartment at The Pargon boasts more than 10 acres of outdoor gardens and six separate indoor gardens to explore. You’ll feel miles away from the city the moment you arrive!

For more than 100 years, the conservatory has been a staple in the community. The indoor gardens are underneath a glass ceiling to let the light shine bright for the beautiful plant life inside. You can explore the desert, the jungle, and a special fern garden modeled around what Chicago may have looked like millions of years ago.

Admission is free but does require a reservation to help with keeping traffic at a safe level for all visitors. If you’re an art lover, they do have a special paid exhibit you can purchase tickets for with your admission ticket for only $5. It’s entitled Visit Still Life in Real Life: Charles Ethan Porter and it features all the luscious fruit and flowers that inspired this incredible African American artist. Happy exploring!
